The president of the Ethiopian Somali region Abdi Mohamed Omar stated that Alshabab must not be given a second chance to slaughter the Somali people.

Speaking about the deadly Mogadishu truck bomb, he expressed his deep sorrow about the ugly sinister attack.

“Alshaba should not be given a second chance to massacre the people. You know what happened in Mogadishu where hundreds of people were butchered. We are really sorrowful about this incident that killed our kinsmen” said president Omar.

He categorically pointed out that the main aim of Alshabab fighters is to murder innocent Somali people and appealed for unity against fighting the group and anyone who speaks Somali language to participate in eliminating Alshabab.

He also touched on the necessity of praying for the dead people and at the same time to come together for the removal of Alshabab. “Lets us pray for those killed but we have also to unite against eliminating Alshabab.”

The truck bomb in Zoope junction, Mogadishu in mid October killed over 300 and injured more than that though Alshabab remained mute to claim responsibility though the federal government was quick to point finger at them.
