Hundreds of protestors with placards and posters took to the streets of Guriel district in Central Somalia on Thursday.
The protestors are against the withdrawal of Ahlu Waljama’a militias from the district and deployment of federal government forces in the area.
The angry protestors burnt tyres and blocked main roads in the district, sources confirm that one person,a woman among the protestors died after government forces opened fire on the protestors.
The tensions in the district are still high as the angry protestors are still on the streets and heavy presence of government forces around the main roads felt.
