An aviation official was this morning shot dead in Wadajir district, Mogadishu by unknown assailants barely a week after the president’s nephew was felled by gunmen in the same district.
The victim, who was later identified by police officials as Issi Baylle was on his way to work when he was confronted by armed men before he being shot.
National Security Spokesman Mohammed Yusuf told the media the police had arrested two suspects as investigations into the incident start.
Wadajir district has become notorious for assassin squads most of whom escape police dragnet.
A deputy district commissioner was also killed in the same district about three months ago as killing incidents gradually rise.
