Banadir regional court fine British citizen to 7,000 USD

The Benadir regional court has today sentenced a fine to a British citizen identified as Andrew Brain Irlam who was accused of disrupting the security of Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.

According to the Benadir regional court statement, the court has made a decision and convicted him to pay 7,000  dollars fine as the court has acquitted two cases and found them under Article 34 of the National security act.

The Uk man was arrested by security forces in Mogadishu on 6 July 2019 heading to the United Arab Emirates while carrying seven magazines and a proof jacket and the court has started his case on July 31.

Andrew Brain Irlam of the United Kingdom, who was convicted by the Benadir regional court today, also holds French citizenship and worked for SKA company which operates in Aden-Adde airport of Mogadishu before being transferred to Farori a Turkish company that also operates in Addan Adde airport Mogadishu.
