Breaking News: SNA and AMISOM troops retake Burweyn locality

Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers backed by AMISOM troops have recaptured Burweyn locality which lies 20KM south of Buloburde town on Saturday.

The soldiers took control of the area with resistance after Al-Shabab fighters withdrew the locality last night.

“The Somali forces and AMISOM peacekeepers secured control of Burweyn again and now the situation has returned to normal,” said resident who spoke to Goobjoog News.

The areas have several times fallen in the hands of the government soldiers then only withdrew days after the seizure.
