Bullo-Burde Administration Claims it seized new areas from Al-Shabab

Administration of Bullo-Burde district has given out details of gun battle engaged the government forces backed by African Union Peace-keeping Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and Al-Shabab fighters in areas under Bullo-Burde district.
LIban Abdi Burusow, deputy district commissioner for financial affairs who gave exclusive interview to Goobjoog News stated the government forces dislodged Shabab fighters from areas in the outskirt of Bullo-Burde town including El-Ba’ad locality.
“The government forces are heading for other Al-Shabab controlled areas under Bullo-Burde town” he said.
He added that government will keep on fighting till Al-Shabab and their sympathisers are annihilated.
“Our soldiers are ready to weed out Al-Shabab fighter from areas under Bullo-Burde district” he noted.
Speaking about the situation of the residents of his district, the deputy said that humanitarian crisis in the district.
Al-Shabab imposed tight sanctions by blocking the main trade routes leading to Bullo-Burde town and other towns in Hiraan after they driven out of many towns.
