Cleaning campaign launched in Galka’ayo

A cleaning campaign was on Sunday launched in Galkayo town to beautify and sanitize the town.
Galmudug’s Galkayo municipality said the exercise was aimed at cleaning and collecting garbage from market places and streets in order to restore the image of the town.
Galmudug Galkayo mayor told media the campaign would continue for days till confirmed the removal of the heap of garbage in the town.
“This campaign will play very important role in the process to beautify Galkaio town and this will be continuous till we make sure that town is cleaned” he said.

 

He added that the campaign would make a big difference in the sanitary conditions in the Galkayo and will bring back the beauty of the town.

 

Finally, he urged the locals in people of Galka’ayo town to take part in the cleaning campaign in the town.

 

Since the cleaning campaign carried out by the local government was launched in the town the piles of garbage came down.
