Deni picks 13 directors in government shake-up

GOOBJOOG NEWS/GAROWE: Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has appointed 13 new Directors General in his government. The new appointments saw the entrance of Jama Hassan Abdulle following the firing of long-serving Director of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Youth and Sports, Ahmed Tigana Abdalla. Among the new entrants to the Director Generals’ post is Mohamed Iman Abdulle, selected as the new Director General of the Ministry of Security and Disarmament Demobilisation and Re-Integration (DDR).
Deni stated that he made the new appointments after holding consultations with his Vice on the need to develop and accelerate the undertakings of government.

The names of the directors and their positions are as follows:

1. Faisal Abdullahi Mohamed – Director of the Administration and Finance Department of the Ministry of Security
2. Abdulkadir Ali Suleiman – Director of the Security Department of the Ministry of Security
3. Abdihakin Abdile Guled – Director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Security
4. Jama Mohamed Yusuf – Director of the DDR Department in the Ministry of Security
5. Mohamed Muse Jama – Director of the Mine Action Department of the Ministry of Security
6. Abdullahi Isse Omar (Rabiile) – Director of Administration and Finance in the Ministry of Livestock
7. Sharmarke Abdullahi Duale- Director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Livestock
8. Adan Aabi Samatar – Director of the Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Animal Husbandry
9. Sadiq Abdullahi Ahmed – Veterinary Services Extension Department of the Ministry of Livestock
10. Mohamed Fuad Warsame – Director of Labor, Human Resources and Training at the Ministry of Livestock
11. Abdirahman Mohamed Muse – Director of Livestock Production, Ministry of Livestock
12. Abdirizak Jama Nur – Director of Administration and Finance, Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing
13. Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud – Director of Administration and Finance, Ministry of Labor, Employment, Youth and Sports
