Elections come to a wrap in Jubaland as last remaining 5 seats are elected today in El-Wak

GOOBJOOG NEWS/EL-WAK: The Jubaland Election Implementation Committee, has today concluded the election of the last five seats out of the 16 seats in El-Wak town, Gedo region.

MP Ahmed Osman Ibrahim and Adan Garane Abdullahi contested for HOP131 seat, which  Ahmed Osman Ibrahim won.

Fadumo Farah Aden emerged winner of seat HOP123, after she beat her to rival, MP Sadiyo Abdullahi Shire.  

Seat HOP110 was contested by Mohamed Muhumed Mohamed and Khadar Ahmed Adan. The Jubaland electoral committee announced Mohamed Muhumed Mohamed as winner.

Mursal Mohamed Khalif and MP Omar Muhumed Bulle contested for the HOP122 seat, which was won by Mursal Mohamed Khalif.

The last seat, HOP125 was won by Abdirashid Mohamed Duale, after Mohamed Aden Hassan withdrew from the race. 

Today’s electoral process in El-Wak has come to a close after a series of delays and uncertainty over the election venue due to insecurity in Garbaharey.
