On November 19, 2022, he appointed seven members to the reconciliation committee to find solutions to burning issues, including political tension and social mistrust, and ink an agreement on the election date.
January 17, 2023, the reconciliation conference was officially opened by Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud with lower speaker Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, the President of Southwest Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (laftagreen), and other guests among the politicians united in the umbrellas: The Union of Candidates, the KGS Rescue Forum, and various officials at both federal levels, traditional elders, and the civil society.

President Hassan Sheikh sees any discord within the KGS leaders and the spirants give Alshabaab the energy to thrive, asking all sides to unite in the cause of eliminating the group and settling down the differences through peaceful dialogue.
