2016 electoral college delegate killed in Lower Shabelle region

A tribal elder who was among the Electoral College who voted for members of the 10th parliament has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Yaqbari-weyne of Lower Shabelle region, relative confirmed.

Rahma Ahmed Ali, a relative said that the delegate who was identified as Abdullahi Hussein Farah was gunned down on Friday night at his house.

 Farah was murdered by two men armed with pistols.

The killers are reported to have escaped from the scene immediately after shooting dead the delegate, according to Ali.

Late last year, Al-Shabaab group vowed to kill anybody who participates in Somalia’s parliamentary election.
