Ethiopia confirms first coronavirus case

Report declares Ethiopia Government has confirmed its first case of the coronavirus infection.

According to Ethiopia’s ministry of health, the patient is 48-year-old Japanese who arrived in Addis on 04th March. His first destination was Japan and travelled via Burkina Faso before arriving in Addis.

It was on Friday afternoon when Kenya confirmed its first Coronavirus case.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe stated on Friday the first Coronavirus case in Kenya confirmed on a patient who is a Kenyan that travelled from the US via London.

The positive woman is now under medical treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital’s Infectious Disease Unit. Consequently, Kenya has suspended all travel outside the country unless necessary.
