Storyline:National News

Tristar Air Operation Control Centre has told Goobjoog News its cargo plane Trista Air 810 was not transporting supplies for the African Union troops AMISOM contrary to reports attributed to authorities in Mogadishu.

In an exclusive interview with Goobjoog News, the Operation Control Centre in Egypt said the plane had difficulties in landing before a forced landing 25 km west of Mogadishu.

“Yes we can confirm the plane could not land at the Mogadishu airport after encountering an accident. But the plane was not carrying supplies for AMISOM,” said an official attached to the centre.

The centre added the plane took off from Cairo to Mogadishu but denied it was transporting any supplies to AMISOM.

All the seven crew members survived the incident but one was injured and rushed to a hospital in the city.

Goobjoog News got exclusive access to the sight and was able to transmit the first pictures of the crash.
