Federal government sign new deal with Interim Juba administration

The minister for interior and federalism of federal government of Somalia Abdullahi Godah Barre has given details of an agreement signed between the government and the interim administration of Juba in Southern Somalia.

The minister briefing the media in Kismayo after their meeting with  IJA leaders said that the sides agreed to intensify the fight against Al-shabab in the region and capture the areas under the group’s control immediately.

Allocating the number of Somali national army operating in Juba regions and re-opening of the training centers and military barracks.

Integration and provision of immediate support and military equipments to the forces so as to continue the fight against Al-shabab in the region.

Three cabinet ministers, interior, defense and finance reached the port city of Kismayo on saturday and took a meeting with top leaders of  Interim Juba administration.

This comes a time when Interim  Juba administration forces lost the control of Kuda Island to Al-shabab two weeks after their capture and insecurity threats has been on verge of increase.
