Federal gov’t of Somalia condemns assassination attempt on Sudan PM

The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned the attempted assassination on the Prime Minister of Sudan, Abdallah Hamdouk on Monday.

Minister Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Ambassador Ahmed Isse Awad said the people and government of Somalia will stand by Sudan adding militia must be wiped out.

“I condemn in the strongest terms the assassination attempt on his Excellency Prime Minister Hamdouk, its evil violence and offensive but must be wiped out. We stand by PM Hamdok and the people of Sudan.” Ambassador Awad said.

“I would like to assure the people of Sudan that I am safe and in good shape. Rest assured that what happened today will not stand in the way of our transition, instead, it is an additional push to the wheel of change in Sudan,” Hamdouk said.

This assassination comes after former Sudan president Hassan Omar Al-Bashir was overthrown from government facing human rights violation and money fraud in the country which his charges are now relay on the court.
