FGS bans Sahan Research Institute from operating in the country

The Ministry of Internal Security of the Federal government of Somalia has issued a statement of banning Sahan Research Institute from all activities in Somalia.

The ministry clarified the reason behind the closure of the agency for security reasons and added that it has suspended its operations in the country.

“We have received official information from the security agencies under the supervision of Sahan Research from today on December 17, 2018, that we have banned Sahan from all its activities in the country due to national security, stability and unity in the country,” said the statement by the Ministry of Internal  Security,”

According to the Ministry of Internal  Security investigations, the research company was banned all of its activities in Somalia and notifies of all the people and organizations that have relation with Sahan Research to desist from all their activities due to the issues mentioned above that will undermine the stability of the country and the sovereignty of Somalia.

“Anyone or any organization that does not comply with this order will be prosecuted in accordance with the law of the country.” added the statement

Sahan Research is a research institute that operates in Somalia, Kenya and all other countries in the Horn of Africa.
