Fire guts down 30 makeshifts in an IDP camp

Fire outbreak at IDP camp in former US embassy compound(siliga Ameerikaanka) of Wadajir district on Wednesday has caused destruction.
Clouds of smoke is seen coming from makeshifts in the camp where the fire outbreak started.
The outbreak of fire is due to traditional cooker left outside one of the makeshifts as residents in the area confirmed to the media.
Reports state that at least 30 houses in the camp were gutted down and a woman sustained injuries as she was trying to collect her belongings.
Abshir Mohamed barre, Hawo tako division administrator told Goobjoog FM that local people in the area and fire fighters from Hormoud Telecom reached the area and managed to put out the blaze.
Mr.Abshir confirmed that the fire fighters succeeded to put out fire and save properties of immense value with the help of the locals in the division.
