First 8 presidential hopefuls to address joint House seating ahead of Feb 8 poll

Eight presidential candidates will address a joint session of parliament today in a last ditch attempt to secure ratings before proceeding to the ballot February 8.

The presentations which will run until Sunday will involve all the 24 candidates cleared by the Presidential Election Committee last week.

Though the voting will largely be along clan lines, the candidates will hope to secure favourable ratings from the over three hundred lawmakers who will cast their vote in less a week’s time.

The following is a list of delegates who will participate in today’s presentations:

Jibril Ibrahim Abdulle

Saiid Abdullahi Deni

Hassan Sheikh Mohamed

Dr. Saiid Iise Mohamed
