FMS Ministries of Fisheries cuts ties with FGS for lack of cooperation 

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The Federal Member State Ministries of Fisheries have released a joint statement distancing themselves from the Federal Ministry of Fisheries, citing non-cooperation on its part.

The FMSs said a Data Collection Project Process Meeting with the federal ministry of fisheries failed to produce results after the latter attempted to “circumvent previously agreed upon issues.”

The statement also accused the FGS of “failing to improve and strengthen” relations with the FMS Ministries of Fisheries, calling on FAO Somalia to desist from engaging with the federal Ministry of Fisheries in the “configuration and implementation of any project related to the fisheries sector, either upcoming or ongoing, that is not involved with the FMS Ministries of Fisheries.”
