FNP leaders now leave for Beletweyne

The Forum for National Parties leaders and their delegations are now leaving Mogadishu for Beletweyne after they were earlier barred under unclear circumstances.

Goobjoog News correspondent at Aden Adde Airport said the team led by former presidents Sheikh Sharif Ahmed and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud have just boarded the plane destined for Beletweyne.

The duo and their delegations had earlier been barred from travelling amid reports Prime Minister Hassan Khaire was also to travel to the same town.

Unconfirmed reports indicate the Prime Minister has since cancelled his travel today.
