Former Somali Member of Parliament Ali Omar Nur has died in Mogadishu, officials confirmed Saturday.
Nur passed away on Saturday morning at Aden Adde international Airport following a heart attack, according the deputy director of Mogadishu airport, Abdirahman Awale.
Nur is said to have complained about his deteriorating ill health and fatigue.
Awale said the Family of the MP were at the airport to take him outside the country for treatment.
“The decease and the relatives were the airport waiting for the plane that would carry him before he died, they were planning to take him outside the country for treatment,” said the officer.
