Former president of Gulmudug State: “Guri-El warring sides have accepted truce”

A delegation led by the former president of Galmudug State, Mohamed Ahmed Ma’alim has reached Dhusamareeb town according to reports coming to Goobjoog news.

The delegation which comprises of traditional elders and some of Galmudug politicians has met with representatives from Guri-El warring sides to discuss about wide range issues including how to come on the negotiating table to discuss on the differences.

Mr. Mohamed who gave exclusive interview to goobjoog FM on Saturday said that the two warring sides have accepted cease fire without condition and to commence reconciliation.

“We commended both sides for their response of accepting our call to stop the fighting and to start to reconciliation” Mohamed said.

He further added that there is ongoing meeting to focus on how both sides could meet face to face to as clear out their differences.

The former regional president has optimistically noted that the two would understand and solved their differences in the shortest time possible.

He lastly called upon Somali intellectuals to take part in Guri-El peace restoration.
