Former South Africa President Thabo Mbeki arrives Mogadishu

A large delegation led by the former South Africa president, Thabo Mbeki arrived early Saturday morning in the capital Mogadishu.

Former president of South Africa Thabo Mbeki leading a high commissioner of the African Union was highly welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Ahmed Hassan Awad, Somalia representative to the UN Secretary-General, James Swan, the African Union Mission in Somalia, Ambassador Francisco Madeira and other officials from the federal government of Somalia at Adan Adde International airport in Mogadishu

The destination of the Thabo Mbeki was not disclosed but he is expected to hold talks with the top leaders of the federal government of Somalia.
