The administration of Galkaayo has sent stern warning to the people whose restaurants operate during daytime in the month of Ramadhan.

Hirsi Yussuf Barre, Galkaayo district commissioner told the reporters on Saturday that his administration would launch operation against food sellers who open their cafes during the daytime.

Barre said that his administration will not accept people to sell food during daytime and feed those who defied to fast.

“The food sellers are breaking the law and we are going to deal with them hardly, soon we will launch raids on their premises,’ said Barre.

He called on the security forces to arrest all these who are operating their restaurants during the daytime in the holy month of Ranmadan.

Fasting the month of Ramadan is also one of the five pillars of Islam.

Muslims worldwide started their month of fasting on 27th May 2017.

Muslims are also enjoined to avoid evil thoughts and deeds.

Ramadan is sacred to Muslims because it was during this month that the Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
