Galmudug and Puntland Conduct Fine against the Business Owners denying the Somali currency flow

Galmudug and Puntland authorities have today conducted fine against the business owners and all the people in both the regions who are denying the somalia currency flow in the markets on the last two days.

Galkacyo Mayor of Galmudug Hirsi Yusuf Barre and the Mayor of North Galkacyo in Gaalkacyo Mahmud Yasin Tumey today visited Garbaharey, Mall and Livestock Market where they had discussions with business owners in the market.

Authorities have completed their inspection by the media in the Central Market, telling them that they are preparing to warn anyone who is trying not to allow people to use to buy and sell of the Somali currency, where the business owners in the region refused to use the somali shillings in the last two days which has become a barrier to the poor people.

Authorities in both Galmudug and Punrtland administrations have cautioned against the confusion and brutality created in the Galkayo community, which the alleged perpetrators were arrested and executed.

The Somali Shilling refinery in Galkayo affects goods, commodities and livestock productons in the market in the last two days and still the people in the region are not sure whether the administration of both regions will take full control of the markets in the regions.

The Somali federal ministry today announced that the government needs US$60 million in order to print new Somali currency to replace the old dilapidated notes currently circulating in the local markets.

Speaking to the media, finance minister Abdirahman Duale Beyle noted the enormous task to overcome to produce new notes.
