Galmudug: President Asks MPs to do Statistics on Famine in the Region

President Ahmed Duale Haaf of Gal Mudug State proposed to MPs to carry out head count on the number of people affected by the famine in the region.

President Haaf said it is important his MPs to know the situation of the people they represent in the regional parliament in order to be easy to extend assistance to them.

The MPs will visit their different constituencies and bring back data to be shared in the proceedings of the parliament, the regional committee on drought and the President.

Additionally, Gal Mudug State received fund from the Federal Drought Response Committee.
