Galmudug president says: Benadir should be regional state

Galmudug State president Abdikarin Hussein Guled said Hiran and middle region will be the last regions to get regional state.

Speaking at the state formation conference in Jowhar on Tuesday, Guled insisted his point to uphold formation of new state for the capital city of Somalia.

He urged Somali government to form regional state for People of Benadir region.

“Benadir region should be state and people of that region should be the chance to form regional for themselves” Guled said.

Jowhar conference will run for the next three months culminating into the election of the state president preceding establishment of parliament has drawn delegates from Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
