Galmudug minister for reconciliation and constitutional affairs, Osman Mohamed Ali said Saturday maintaining security, law and order is his state’s most important plan assuring the public of sufficient security especially at public facilities.

Speaking to Goobjoog News, Ali said Galmudug has been stepping up the security of its areas as Galmudug forces launched several operations to boost the security.

“Our first priority is to restore the peace and security and that cannot be done without the public cooperation so we asked people of Galmudug state to work hand in hand,” said the minister.

The Minister spoke following a clash Wednesday after two militiamen loyal to leading Khat traders fought at Adado airport over undisclosed circumstances.

Adado which serves currently as the interim capital of Galmudug state has been relatively calm compared to the other major towns in Galgaduud region in central Somalia.
