Storyline:National News

Galmudug state has warned individuals and organizations that want to carry out the sacrifice of livestock animals during Eid al-Adha, the second Islamic celebration period that coincides with the end of the Hajj to adhere to guidelines as issued by the Endowment and Religious Affairs  Ministry.

Speaking to Goobjoog News, State Minister for Endowment and Religious Affairs Mursal Abdirahman Ahmed said his ministry had produced guidelines which must be followed during the religious period.

“The document clearly states that any person/organization that carries out humanitarian activities operating in Galmudug areas to adhere to the local laws especially when conducting religious affairs by getting in touch with the local Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs for proper guidance” said Minister Ahmed.

According to the State Minister Ahmed, the control is aimed at ensuring smooth operations of the activities of the organizations involved and state administration to be fully informed of their operations to avoid disagreements that has been the norm for a long time [especially the precise date of the religious exercise].

No specific conditions that are imposed on the organizations and any entity that will not abide by it will face the law said Minister Ahmed.
