Galmudug State of Somalia to Mobilize security forces for Elections

Galmudug State of Somalia on Tuesday, called the security forces of the state to make final preparations to secure elections. The deputy president of the State, Mohammed Hashi Araby meeting Tuesday with security forces commanders, said State forces will be responsible in the election’s security.

“Our forces will be securing the elections, I have met with the security heads including military in our state to convey them this information” said, deputy president of Galmdug state.

Candidates and delegates are pouring into the state capital Adado ahead of Federal Parliamentary elections.

Federal states are preparing to host Federal parliamentary elections in their respective capitals. Every state is required to host the elections of the Federal MPs, who will later represent the state to the federal parliament.

Every MP shall be elected by a sample 51 delegates picked up from his/her clan population.
