Ghana: I scored my best goal ever against Somalia says Asamoah Gyan

The captain for the Ghanaian National Team Asamoah Gyan said he scored the best goal in his life against Somalia in 2003 in his debut for his country football team.

Asamoah Gyan is believed to have made the tie in the goal scoring record of Robin Van Persie and Edin Dzeko of possessing 50 goals each.

Gyan who is now on loan on Emirati team of Shabab Al-Ahli based in Dubai mentioned to have scored many goals though the most beautiful one was when his ball touched the net goal of Somali team.

“I scored many good goals that are known to everybody but the goal I scored against Somalia in 2003 was a memorable one. It was my first appearance for my national team” said Asamoah Gyan.

On Sunday Gyan scored his 50th goal for his national team against Ethiopia and has appeared in 103 times for his country.

In 2006 World Cup, he scored 6 goals which made him to be the first top African goal scorer in the history of the World Cup.
