Government forces take over Guriel district in Central Somalia

Reports from Guriel district in Galgadud region states that government forces have re-taken the district after Ahlu Wal Jama’a  militia withdrew from the area.

Ahlu Suna militia are now stationed outside the city, there is fear that the militia might carry attacks against government that captured Guriel district.

Traditional elders and intellectuals are making efforts to ease the tensions between the sides.
