Government will win war against Al-Shabaab, Prime Minister Barre says

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre has reiterated the government’s commitment to win the war against Al-Shabaab and completely liberate all parts of the country.

The Prime Minister spoke during an event at Karaan district that was aimed at boosting the morale of the Somali Security Forces and thanking them for their efforts in keeping the country safe from the threats posed by Al-Shabaab.

The function was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama and the Council of Ministers who also underscored the commitment by government to completely eliminate Al-Shabaab from Somalia.

Prime Minister Hamze also praised the citizens of Somalia for assisting the security forces in the war by providing crucial information that has made it easy to identify and neutralize threats posed by the militants.

He noted that the improved security within the capital Mogadishu was due to the cooperation between security officials and the citizens and added that the people of Somalia now have a historic opportunity to liberate their country.

Prime Minister Hamze also donated over 50 camels to the security forces to boost their morale in the war.
