Hand grenade explosion kills one person and injured four others in Qoryooley

One person died and four others injured in bomb explosion occurred in Qoryooley town on Sunday, witnesses said.

Abdi Omar who spoke to the media said unidentified assailants hurled a hand grenade at Khat shop where several SNA soldiers were staying.

“Explosion occurred at Miraa (Khat) shop, a woman who was seller and four other people including police officers” said Omar.

The administration of the town has yet to comment on the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bomb market bomb attack.

Qoryoley lies 120 kilometers south of Mogadishu and it is currently under SNA and AMSIOM control.
