Hargeisa: Somaliland parliament’s meeting adjourned

Somaliland forces have on Saturday arrested two MPs Said Elmi Roobleh,Ibrahim Buuba and four journalists namely Abdirahman Fantastic,Abdrahin Mowlid,Mohamed Yussuf and abdirahman Tarig.

During the arrest, the MPs were holding press conference outside the parliament building as our correspondent in Hargeisa reports.

On the other hand at least person died and many other wounded after protesters against the motion tabled from Somaliland speaker Abdirahman Irro took to the streets of Burao, the headquarters of Togdheer region.

Today’s session of Somaliland parliament chaired by the deputy speaker Bashe Mohamed Farah adjourned after delegates led by Suleiman Mohamud, the speaker of Somaliland upper house intervened.
