Heavy Rain Causes Damage at Adan Adde Airport

Heavy rain in Mogadishu on Thursday caused damage to Aden Adde airport , which is currently being reformed, leading air traffic delays..

floodwaters washed away  sections of the runway and there was flooding in various places, though nobody was injured as confirmed by sources in the airport.

The water filled the terminal and flight operations were disrupted due to heavy rains in the capital .

There is no proper sewage in Mogadishu airport making it vulnerable to floods.

The new Terminal which was constructed Favori Turkish Company was officially inaugurated by Turkey President Reccep Tayyip few months ago
