Hiran administration plan to open roads between Bulo-Burde and Jalalaqsi

Hiiraan regional administration has announced a plan to open the road linking between Jalalaqsi and Bulo-burde town of Hiiran region.

The deputy governor of Hiran region, Abdifatah Muhumad Taakoy said, “the plan will soon to be implemented and the people of their region will have stable security soon.”.

The deputy governor added that the Somali National Army and AMISOM forces have already started their operation on early Saturday

AMISOM added that the operation is meant to relieve the insecurity in the surrounding areas and districts of all the parts of Hiiran region.

The operation comes after the residents of the areas have displaced from their homes regarding killings and threats by Al Shabaab group.

Somali forces supported by African Union Mission troops have increased attacks against Al-Shabaab in several areas in Middle Shabelle and Hiiraan regions.

Al-Shabab, which wants to impose its strict interpretation of Islam in Somalia, usually carry out attacks in different parts of the country to topple the Western-backed government and drive out African Union troops.
