Hirshabelle MPs rescind their motion against the Speaker

Members of Hirshabelle Parliament withdrew their recent motion of no confidence against their Speaker Osman Bare Mohamed.

Local MPs who proposed the motion against Speaker Osman were numbered 39 and tried to stop him presiding over his official parliamentarian chores but finally decided to overturn their move.

Reports indicate that the MPs had different meetings with the local leaders that took place in the presidential house of Hirshabelle State.

Abdullahi Mohamed Adow who is among the MPs that brought up the motion against the local Speaker informed the media their withdrawal of the motion in regard to the pressing issues that the local administration is engaged in.

“When we have seen the hard situation Hirshabelle State is working under, we were obliged to admit to withdraw with the motion signed by 39 MPs from Hirshabelle. They unanimously agreed upon to overturn it” said MP Abdullahi.

It was last week when Hirshabelle MPs said that they have forced their Speaker out of work by tabling a motion of no confidence against him.
