Hundreds of people protest against Baidoa conference

Hundreds of protesters against Baidoa conference took into the streets today, the protesters carrying placards are chanting words against the conference that has entered its second day.

The protesters matched to ADC center where the leader of South Somalia administration of six regions Madobe Nunow addressed the crowds.

The people asked the federal government to respect their will of getting an administration comprising of six regions.

This comes a time when Madobe’s administration announced that it will not give its decision of establishing an administration that unite six regions despite the ongoing efforts to solve the differences in the region.

Somali PM Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed has on Sunday opened Baidoa scheduled to continue for 45 days, the aim of the conference is to resolve the political tensions between the parallel administrations in the region.
