Italian government donates vehicles to Somali police

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia’s Chief of Police General Sulub Ahmed Firin has received police vehicles donated by the Italian government to be used in the fight against the Al-Shabaab.

The Police chief thanked the Italian government for its support of the police force and stressed that his department remains steadfast in securing the country and the people of Somalia.

Speaking during the event Italian Ambassador Roberto Vechi affirmed Italy’s commitment to supporting the Federal Government of Somalia in its fight against the Al-Shabaab terror group.

The Minister of State Security Mohamed Ali Hagaa, who was also present at the function thanked the Italian government for supporting the Somali security forces in its efforts to restore peace in the country.
