Jubaland, Galmudug announce more poll candidates and schedules

GOOBJOOG NEWS/KISMAYO/DHUSAMAREB: Jubaland and Galmudug state election committees have announced the election schedule for Lower House elections in Kismayo and Dhusamareb respectively.

A statement issued by the Galmudug electoral committee said that registration of candidates for the three seats to be contested namely: HOP#147, HOP#035 and HOP#055 will begin today while the elections will take place in Dhusamareb on February 17.

The Jubaland Electoral Team has also announced the election schedule for three seats with two of the seats reserved for women.

Registration, training and verification of candidates’ particulars will start today, while elections will be conducted on Thursday, February 17.
