Jubbaland president jets off to Galkaayo

Delegation led by Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam jetted off to Galkaayo amid the territorial dispute between Puntland and Galmudug is escalating.

Ahmed Madoobe is expected to hold meeting with the two sides.

This comes at a time Somali Defence Minister, Major General Mohamed Adan together with Interior Minister Abdurahman Odowaa are in the Galkaayo.

They discussed with the sides root causes and motives of the clashes and the aftermath, the current situation of the town and how to bring to an immediate halt to the bloody conflicts.
