Jubbaland President: We failed to demonstrate leadership maturity

Jubbaland president Ahmed Madobe has criticized Federal states leaders for failing to meet public expectations and as result decision was made for them.

The state president made the comments in press conference held today in Kismayo after electoral model for 2016 elections was agreed in Mogadishu on Thursday evening.

“For the last three months we were unable to reach an agreement largely because we stood for different views and convictions…. failed to make any progress federal government and international community came to intervene” said Ahmad

he emphasized the need to give attention to the public interest and expectations before to political or personal interests.

Puntland president and parliament have both rejected the agreement and warned Puntalnd will independently decide its own political destiny.

the outspoken Jubbland president has been gaining popularity recently for making a number of strong remarks in consultative meetings.
