Kenya blocks Aid Trucks to enter Somalia

Kenyan Police in the border city of Mandera have arrested dozens of aid trucks carrying food supply and drugs to resident of Dowlo and Buluhawo border towns.

Somali elders in Gedo region called Kenyan government to free the aid trucks which they said are vital to residents of many towns and villages in the region.

Kenyan police raised concerns that Alshabab might seize the aid convey and uses its supplies. Elders dismissed the claim and accused the government of Kenya indiscriminate confiscations against the property of Somali trade-men and ordinary people in the pretext of terror fighting
