Kenya: Mandera county schools shutdown over insecurity

Reports from Mandera town in northeastern Kenya indicate that the entire city schools closedown over insecurity in the border of Kenya and Somalia.

Mandera Telecommunication, Safaricom company, the largest telecommunication network and electricity went off last night and it is not yet known the exact reason behind the shutdown while public serves vehicle are not working this morning.

Jubbaland security minister Abdirashid Janan force hosted by Kenya government is still in parts of Mandera town, raising fears of civilian casualties.

The Kenya government denied the war broke out in county while media report released six civilians and four Janan forces injured in Mandera County.
