Kheyre denied the port deal agreement with the Ethiopian government

Prime Minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Kheyre said there was no agreement between the Somali government and the Ethiopian government.

Kheyre, speaking to the Somali community in Norway, said that it was fabricated in terms of the interaction between the two communities.

“Today i have witnessed people talking of an agreement with Ethiopia, we have not reached an agreement with the Ethiopian government, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia has come from his country to visit, we have welcomed and at the end of the conference we made conclusions that “We can working together to open ports in the way they can use it, Somali ports are owned by Somali citizens, we don’t people to confused the citizens” said Kheyre.

Earlier this week, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali visited Mogadishu and signed an agreement on development of ports and co-operation.

Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khair leading delegations are in Oslo, the capital of Norway to attend an international conference on Somalia.
