Landmine explosion kills sibling, injures two others in Togdheer, Somaliland

GOOBJOOG NEWS|TOGDHEER: A landmine explosion that went off between Habura and Sibidhley areas in Togdheer region of Somaliland, claimed the life of a child and injured two others.

The three siblings reportedly met the unfortunate incident while tending to sheep.

According to a Somaliland official, an ambulance which had rushed  to the scene to take the injured children to hospital unfortunately collided with a passenger-car near Balli-hiile area, resulting in the injuries of an additional 5 people.

Speaking to the media at the Burco General Hospital, the Coordinator of the Ministry of Health Development of the Togdheer Region, Dr. Mohamed Yusuf Jama, said the seven injured victims were receiving treatment and that their condition was stable.
