Landmine explosion targets Somali Security Forces

A convoy belonging to Somali Federal security forces became the target of a land mine explosion in Middle Shabelle.

The attack took place between Bal’ad and Qalimow towns and it is assumed that the explosion was an improvised explosive (IED) device hidden on the road..

Casualties are unknown because the scene of the attack is sealed off by security officers and people are barred from accessing the area.

Goobjoog News tried to get through to the security officials in Middle Shabelle as well the local administration of Bal’ad town to get full information of the attack but failed to make contacts with them.
