Lower House Speaker Adan Madobe inspects Afisyoni Tent

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Lower House Speaker Sheikh Adan Mohamed (Madobe) today inspected the Afisyoni Tent which is the venue of the May 15, 10th presidential election.

The Speaker met with security officials from ATMIS and the Somali government and instructed them to beef up security in the run-up to the presidential election which is only five days away.

Registration for presidential candidates, nearly 40, has ended today at 4pm and the candidates are expected to deliver their speeches to the lawmakers on Wednesday, before the Federal Parliament elects the president on Sunday, May 15.
