Middle Shabelle administration donates cash aid to poisoned children in hospital

The administration of Middle Shabelle region has donated cash aid to families whose children were affected after eating poisonous food.

Middle Shabelle officials led by the deputy governor visited intersos hospital where the children are being treated and delivered 10 million Somali Shillings to the affected families.

The officials stated that they will continue give support to the affected families and the other people in need of assistance during the difficult times.

On their side the health officials in Intersos hospital where the poisoned children were admitted to said the children are gradually recovering and their health status is quite stable.

Ealier last month at least 10 people died and another 80 have been admitted to the hospitals after drinking poisonous water from a well in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.

Most of victims who died were children, the incident occurred in Yaaqshid district.
